Mosquito nets for CCA students

Malaria is still one of the major health issues in Uganda. 30-50% of all hospital visits lead to the diagnosis malaria. 20% Of all deaths in hospitals are caused by malaria. For children under the age of 5 this is even 27%. In reality the problem is much worse because many people with malaria related complaints do not visit the hospital and die at home.

Update: bakery for disabled Ronald

In July CCA placed a call for the realisation of a bakery for a disabled boy from Uganda. The 28 year old Ronald learned to bake bread at the Catholic Church and very much wanted to start his own bakery in Soroti.

Drastic surgery

Logiel (13) is a sweet and smart girl, born with a very rare disease Macrodactyly. Fingers and toes are, from birth, abnormally large, due to overgrowth of the bones and soft tissue. In Logiel’s case her left arm, in particular, her hand, is extremely large.

Our first graduate!

Child Care Africa foundation met Judith early 2020 in Kaabong. Her story touched our hearts. Judith has always had a great interest in education. She enjoyed going to school and attained good results. Judith’s dreams however were not supported by some of her family members. In Karamoja, young girls and women are often forced to marry young, in exchange for a dowry. 
Judith’s aunt and some well-wishers in the community supported her dream. They helped her to study and complete school.
