Brenda’s life story

17 July 2024

Lopuwa Brenda comes from Namalu Village. She comes from a family with seven children only she is in school, the rest of her siblings dropped from school due to financial instability of her mother.

Her mother divorced her father and abandoned her at the age of 3 months. She was raised by her grandmother (fathers’ mother) who put her in school and supported both her primary and secondary education. Brenda grew up not knowing the face of her mother till today, because she was abandoned by her mother.

Brenda liked to join a nursing school, but this could only come true if she got support. She heard about HCF and CCA supporting children, she wrote an application and HCF decided to support her because she had good results with a touching story.

She went to Matany Nursing school and just completed her 3-years training. In August she will start working as a comprehensive nurse in the CBR-project of CCA in Uganda.
