Position CCA: National Coordinator Uganda
As a role model to children who are struggling with exclusion and abandonment, I, Mukiibi Bosco, am a testament to resilience. Orphaned in secondary school—losing my mother in first year and father in third—I was raised in various homes, where I took on diverse tasks like digging, dishwashing, fishing, and casual labor to pursue my education. I went on to earn a bachelor’s in social work and social administration, using my journey to mentor others with the mantra: “things are possible.”

With close to 3 decades of experience, I have worked as a social worker, Head of Department at Child Registration Outreach, and since 2009, with 1moreChild, supporting street-connected children in rehabilitation and reintegration. Currently, I serve as National Coordinator at Child Care Africa (CCA) Foundation, Uganda Chapter, driving external relations with entities like Uganda Revenue Authority and National Energy Bureau, focusing on compliance and partnerships. I also volunteer with Tjeko Uganda Limited, extending expertise to vulnerable children.
I am a leader in multiple roles: Secretary of Jinja NGO Forum, Chairperson of Eastern Uganda Cycling, Board Member of 1moreChild and Tjeko Uganda Limited, and I also serve as a church administrator and leader of deacons in my church. Working in Uganda’s marginalized regions, I emphasize _character development and attitude change_, encouraging youth that _once you change your mindset, things are possible_. Married to Esther, with four children, my journey from hardship to hope inspires.
Beyond my impactful work, I enjoy farming, photography, and storytelling. Through my lens, I capture resilience, hope, and triumph—telling good stories of others to others as a therapy, connecting communities with inspiration.
