Story of Musa

22 November 2019

Musa (12) is the eldest of four children and both of his parents are addicted to alcohol. Spending his life on the streets, he always admired other children, walking to school in their clean uniforms.

At a young age, he decided to take charge: he searched for casual labour to pay for his fees. It is due to his hard work and dedication, that he was able to complete P5 last year. Washing motorcycles at the riverside has helped Musa to pay for his school fees, but he also missed many classes. Musa is now a boarding student. He spends his holidays with his elderly grandmother, who is very excited to see her grandson’s life transformed through education.
