This is Samuel. He is a jolly 7 years old primary school pupil. He lives with his family in a small village in Kaabong, northeast Karamoja. Samuel was born with a cleft lip.
Fortunately, Samuel was able to undergo surgery in CoRSU hospital this week. A small medical procedure, with a huge impact on Samuel’s future. Together with our sponsors, CoRSU hospital and Smile Train, we will help 10 other children with cleft lip to undergo surgery in the following months. They first need to gain some strength and attain a healthy weight to be able to undergo the medical procedure.
