A United Nations delegation visited Amudat last week, as part of their tour through the Karamoja region. They visited several projects, had meetings with development partners and came to Kalas girls, a primary school and rescue centre for girls at risk of FGM and forced marriage.
During her visit, Rosa Malango, the resident coordinator of the UN in Uganda, thanked NGO’s, organizations and local government for their tireless efforts to protect the girls and to help them achieve their goals.
